What results can I expect?

You can expect to see improvement in the appearance of your leg veins immediately following the first treatment. However, more than one treatment session is often needed to fully clear blood vessels and reduce the appearance of the leg veins completely.

How does laser vein removal work?
A laser is a device that sends a thin beam of radiation in the form of light. Laser closes and shrinks the varicose vein and causes scar tissue within the vessel. This seals off the vein. Blood then flows through other nearby veins instead.
Is laser vein removal permanent?
The results of laser vein removal may be permanent for the targeted areas. However, it is possible for some treated veins to eventually reappear, and you may still see entirely new capillary veins develop in the future.
Is laser vein removal painful?
Laser is less painful than vein ligation and stripping, and it has a shorter recovery time.

Unwanted Capillary Veins: Common for Men and Women of Every Age

Unwanted varicose veins and spider veins are swollen, twisted veins that are common on every age and usually appear on the legs. Women are more likely to have them. Pregnancy, older age, obesity, genetics and hormones can be consider as the reasons of varicose spider leg veins. Those are often painless and don’t usually cause health problems. If leg veins cause symptoms or you are concerned about the appearance of those veins, they can be removed by different treatment options such as Lasers, sclerotherapy or surgery.

With laser treatment, you can diminish the appearance of leg veins without the pain of surgical treatments and lengthy downtimes. You no longer need to cover your legs – show them off with laser leg vein removal.

These unwanted veins can also appear in other areas, such as the face and nose (Telangiectasia) or the neck and body (Cherry Angiomas). They can be easily removed using our latest technology, the Cynosure Elite+ laser system.

Risks

Side effects of laser treatment include:

  • Skin burns.
  • Skin coloring changes.
  • Feelings of burning, pain, or prickling after recovery, from nerve damage (less likely than after vein stripping surgery).
  • Small or large blood clotting in the vein or a deep vein (less likely than after vein stripping surgery).

The more experience your doctor has had with laser, the less risk you are likely to have. Talk to your doctor about how often these side effects happen in his or her practice.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments will vary according the severity of the veins. On average, between 3 to 5 treatments are needed. Treatments are done on a timed basis, and this will be determined at your consultation, depending on the number of veins to be treated.
