Microneedling

What are the risks of microneedling?

Like many other procedures, microneedling may have some small risk. The most common side effect is mild skin irritation immediately after the procedure. You may also notice redness for a few days. Call us if you see more severe side effects, such as bleeding, infection or peeling.

Microneedling is contraindicated if you are pregnant or have certain skin diseases, such as psoriasis or eczema.

Also it is recommended to postpone your treatment if you have open wounds or having recent radiation therapy.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation procedure in which small tiny needles create punctures in the outer layer of skin to improve texture of the skin. The goal of treatment is to generate new collagen fibers in the skin to make it smoother and firmer. It is also called collagen induction therapy.

What is Microneedling good for?

Microneedling may help address many skin-related complaints, including:

  • wrinkles
  • scarring
  • acne
  • alopecia
  • skin pigmentation issues
  • stretch marks
  • rosacea
  • loose skin, such as after weight loss or liposuction

What is the procedure?

We use a topical anesthetic cream one hour before starting to reduce your pain during the procedure.

During the procedure, your doctor move the device on your skin to make small punches on the skin. The pinpricks created by the pen-like tool, are too small and normally you won’t notice them after finishing the procedure.

Microneeding can be combined with other procedure like stem cell therapy or mesotherapy.

The actual microneedling treatment will take approximately 30 minutes.

Your doctor may then apply a serum or calming treatment for a better feeling.

WHAT OUR CLIENT SAY

Truly 5 star cosmetic clinic. Lovely and extremely professional team and management, they make you feel comfortable. I have had Botox treatment , microdermabrasion and facial with lovely Behnaz. She is physician back home , always understands my concerns and pampers me during my treatment. I’m so happy and now her regular customer. I highly recommend this place with its wonderful atmosphere

…How to prepare for microneedling?

No specific preparation is needed. You may need to stop taking certain medications, such as Aspirin, ibuprofen and those for acne treatment, few days before your appointment.

To reduce the risk of specific side effects, it is better to stop using topical retinoids  as well.

What to see after treatment

Microneedling isn’t an invasive procedure, so the recovery time is minimal. You may notice skin irritation and redness within the first few days following the procedure which is a natural response to the treatment.

After the procedure, you can go back to work or school if you’re comfortable. You may apply a covering makeup in the first few days as the redness dissipates.

After microneedling, your skin starts to rejuvenate new tissue. You will see the maximum results within a couple of weeks.

Multiple sessions and other treatments are recommended to maintain the result on your skin.
